She is a consummate fashion expert, serving as a scholarship committee co-chair for Chicago Fashion Foundation, bringing Chicago's fashion industry together through competitions, lectures, and workshops. She conceptualized and developed the curriculum's core classes such as Career/Portfolio Development as well as a number of elective classes on a wide range of special topics. Young brings a broad range of networks; domestically and internationally as a result of her professional and personal backgrounds.
